Well that was not a good opening of IPL for a cricket lover and for a CSK fan. Ya MI fans would have enjoyed it. But the kind of match people were expecting was not there. So I will Say i m also a bit disappointed.
Lets talk about CSK innings. From the start everything went wrong. They never seemed in the match except in 2 or 3 overs. First wicket was Du plesis. A very good hitter had to go just because Murli Vijay wanted a stupid run. If he would have been there, he could have made a lot difference in the match. Then Murli also went just for 10 runs. Then the Raina and Bravo came out and played some good shot. But i still cant understand why Dhoni didn't send Badrinath in place of Bravo. Okk and then Raina and Bravo both surprised me by playing stupid shots and throwing their wickets away. Then Morkel came out and After Bravo Badri came out to the middle. Again a stupid shot by Morkel to throw his wicket and got caught. Then our captain cool Dhoni was there. He seemed like he was playing a one day match not a T20. But when he realized, it was too late. He threw his wicket and got run out. There was never a run. And when the team needed him most He was walking to the dressing room. And then Badri got caught by harbhajan. After him the Jadeja got Played on on 10 runs and Ashwin again got run out on a stupid run. Everybody was hoping that CSK atleast bat for 20 overs. But nothing gone their way, they got all out on just 112 in 19.5 overs.
MI bowled really well. Their spinners done their job really well. Pollard got 2 wickets, Ojha bowled really well. Malinga showed his magic in the last overs. Captain Bhajji bowled really well.
Now MI innings. The start was very good. The ball was moving a bit the pace was good but Levi was on fire.
He gave mumbai a really good start. He was thrashing the ball everywhere in the ground. NO bowler was able to trouble him. On the other end Sachin played sensible. He gave a good six to enjoy in Morkel's over. Then Levi got out on a bad shot he played, He made a very good 50. Then Rohit Sharma came and went.
Sachin got retired hurt. Then Fraklin and Raydu played sensible and nice game. And MI won by 8 wickets.
Talking about bowling.....there is nothing to talk, we saw some good overs but those were not able to stop MI from winning the first match.
Lets hope the upcoming matches should be better than this.
